Smart Personal Detection Device
The smart personal detection device aids persons who are visually impaired and blind in their day to day activities. The device attaches to the individual’s waistband and can detect objects surrounding them. If an object is detected, it will alert the user through a series of vibrations and audible notifications. It is capable of detecting low hanging objects, steps, and various objects around the person. Buttons are built into the device that can adjust the range of which objects are detected at – 2ft, 5ft, 10ft. The closer the object the more intense the vibration will be.
It utilizes ultrasonic wave technology to gain a sense of its surroundings. The smart personal detection device sends out sets of ultrasonic waves. If an object is nearby, the waves will bounce off and return back to the device. This then signals the user that there is an obstruction in their path.
Automated Smart Home System
The automated smart home system utilizes artificial intelligence to fully automate up to 100 devices in the user’s household. The device is implemented into the walls of each room and allows users to speak different commands to the system in order to complete different tasks. This can include but is not limited to, turning on the lights, controlling motorized blinds, door locks, and surveillance cameras.
Integrations help the automated smart home system to adapt to the home and the resident’s preferences. For example, if you continuously wake up on weekdays and open your blinds every day at the same time, the automated smart home will quickly learn that this is your routine and complete the task for you without being prompted.
The device is equipped with sensors that can monitor motion, humidity, temperature, ambient light, and thermal activity within the room. Unlike its commercial counterparts, the connectivity is local rather than being connected to the cloud. The design allows for it to be hard wired directly to your home internet instead of needing to rely on a WiFi network. This decreases the chance of hackers intruding on your household.

Instant leak detection and the provision of detailed water meter data also allow for more efficient operation of a building’s plumbing system.
Smart Baby Monitor
Aversan Labs worked with Levana in order to develop and improve a portable baby movement monitor, which clips into a baby’s diaper in order to prevent SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome).
The monitor works by producing vibration and audible alerts. If the sensor detects more than 15 seconds of complete stillness, the monitor will gently vibrate against baby’s tummy to help encourage the return of regular abdominal movements. If no movement is detected for more than 20 seconds, an alarm will beep loudly in an attempt to rouse baby and to alert the parent that attention is required immediately. Oma+™ can also be set to detect weak and irregular movements. If abdominal movement is occurring less than 8 times per minute the movement indicator light will flash orange and a different warning tone will sound.
