On Wednesday, March 27th, 2019, Aversan Labs had the opportunity to host Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie at our Mississauga Office in celebration of National Engineering Month and to highlight women working in STEM. Since elected in 2014, Mayor Crombie has worked to better Mississauga and lead the city towards a better future.
At the beginning of her visit, Mayor Crombie was invited into one of our board rooms to receive a presentation by Nathan Nandhakumaran who explained what Aversan is, and what we do. Mayor Crombie learned that Aversan Labs is a Mississauga based engineering company that is a trusted turn-key partner in the development of products relating to the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and data. She was shown the projects that Aversan Labs is currently working on and told exciting plans and deals for projects in the future, which prompted her to say that the company’s work was “very impressive”.
Mayor Crombie was intrigued by Aversan Labs’s role in supporting local startups. She was astonished at how many innovative ideas are being developed by our teams, stating that the company has “great ideas with entrepreneurship”.
Mayor Crombie was also given a tour of our facility, during which she was able to see the challenging projects our engineers are currently working on. This allowed Mayor Crombie to learn about the advanced engineering capabilities that Aversan Labs can offer especially in developing smart city technology.
Later, Mayor Crombie delivered a speech to Aversan’s on-site staff. She told the employees that they have done “fantastic work” at Aversan Labs and that we are a “shining example of the great tech companies we have in Mississauga.”
Aversan Labs was honoured to host Mayor Crombie this week, and we hope to continue this business relationship in the future.
